Objektbeschreibung des Gastgebers:
My accomodation is ideal for gays and lesbians.

Our apartment is very spacious, 120 sqm, original scandinavian vintage decorations and furnishing. It has one large bedroom, large living and dining room with a bar. Spacious fifties designed kitchen with diner! Centrally located facing Klambratún park and Reykjavik art museum, beautiful views with a large terrace.

It has one large bedroom with a comfortable queen size bed (153 cm), blackout curtains and a spacious closet with hangers and shelves. There is direct access to the terrace and the garden from the bedroom.

The bathroom is recently renovated with a spacious shower, full length mirror, good shelves and a hair dryer.

The large living room has a sofa, several armchairs and a television that can also easily be moved to the bedroom.

The dining room has a big dining table and a vintage teak bar.

The spacious kitchen is original fifties design by one of Iceland's first interior designers, Sveinn Kjarval. It is fully equipped, has a stove/oven, fridge, microwave, toaster, coffee maker, water kettle, dishwasher etc. Last but not least it has a very cosy and welcoming diner!

The apartment is facing Klambratún park and Reykjavik art museum, it has beautiful views overlooking the park which you can enjoy from the living room, bedroom and terrace.

The apartment is centrally located, it´s a lovely and quiet neighborhood within easy walking distance to many restaurants, shops, galleries and bars. Hallgrímskirkja church is only 10 minutes away by foot, where Skólavörðustígur shopping street begins, and 8 minutes walking to Hlemmur square, where Laugavegur shopping street begins.

There is a small grocery store just around the corner called Hateigsbudin, it is normally open until late. Bónus supermarket is in 7 minutes walking distance in Skipholt no. 11 and also there is a store at Hlemmur square.

There is a café at the Reykjavik Art museum across the street that is lovely to visit overlooking the Klambratun Park. At the museum you can see interesting art exhibitions all year round.

Reykjavík's oldest geothermal pool, Sundhöllin, is only 9 minutes away by foot, it has an indoor pool and great outdoor jacuzzi.

I will give you a link to a map that I made with list of grocery stores, restaurants and galleries in Reykjavik.

Bus number 13 stops just steps away from the apartment. It goes both to Harpa concert hall and uptown to Kringlan shopping mall.
